Technical Editor/Quality Control Inspector

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Check / edit user manuals for consumer products, mainly for European/US market

• Ensure legal compliance of documents as well as compliance with internal and customer-specific guidelines

• Usability test, proofreading and editing

• Fill checklist, when appropriate

• Provide feedback to technical writers

• Report problems or concerns to senior management

Requirements:

• 2-3+ years experience as a quality inspector / editor for user manuals or as a technical writer

• University degree in Translation, Technical Writing, Technical Studies, Documentation/Communication, Certification, Quality Management or related fields

• Experience with European and American standards and regulations (e.g. EN/UL/IEC standards, CE, WEEE, FCC, etc.)

• Excellent of both written and spoken English

• Critical and logical thinking Analytical thought process

• Meticulous attention to detail

• Detail-minded, well-organized and able to work in a team environment

• Highly organized with good coordination skills

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Able to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment

• Able to work under pressure
