Chief of Staff - Financial Services
This pivotal role is designed for someone who thrives on collaboration, excels at strategic planning, and enjoys working closely with senior leaders to drive operational excellence across multiple jurisdictions. You will play a central part in shaping business strategy, overseeing people development, and ensuring seamless execution of key projects and initiatives.
What youll do:
- Develop and execute strategic plans for staffing, recruitment, and resource allocation across the group
- Coordinate budget planning activities in partnership with regional finance teams and CFOs to ensure effective financial management.
- Serve as the primary liaison with HR partners during year-end talent and performance management processes, including compensation planning and promotion submissions.
- Organise and manage agendas for committee meetings, Townhalls, Offsites, and Global Senior Management visits by preparing materials and presentations.
- Partner regularly with Corporate Functions such as HR, Recruitment, Real Estate, Finance, and others to facilitate smooth operations across jurisdictions.
- Oversee non-attorney units to ensure optimal workflow management and administrative support allocation throughout the department.
- Support all assignments by managing onboarding, offboarding, pre-employment screening clearance, and logistical arrangements.
- Support coaching and development needs for staff at all levels with tailored training programs
- Lead change management initiatives related to new technology systems to enhance departmental efficiency in areas such as matter management and expense tracking.
- Manage additional functions including overlooking the purchase or maintenance of private jets, private yachts etc
What you bring:
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and execution within large-scale or multi-jurisdictional organisations is essential for this role.
- Strong interpersonal skills are required for partnering with HR on talent management processes such as compensation planning, promotions, coaching programmes, and training delivery.
- Familiarity with leading change management initiatives related to new technology systems (such as matter or expense management platforms) is advantageous.
- Knowledge of business resiliency planning-including disaster recovery testing protocols-and experience implementing these measures is preferred.
- Project management expertise-particularly in legal or professional services environments-will enable you to oversee key business initiatives from inception through execution.
