Photography Assistant

Purpose of the Position:

This Photography Assistant will be providing support in photography needs under SCMP Magazines for all titles including ELLE, Cosmopolitan, Harpers BAZAAR, Esquire and ELLE Men, ensuring high-quality output, and contributing to the success of our editorial and commercial projects.

In this role, you will:

• Assist in photography duties in Magazines including interview, still life products, beauty, fashion, supplements and spin-off and new projects

• Set up and organize photographic studios and equipment efficiently to meet production schedules

• Collaborate closely with the photography team to ensure all deliverables meet in standard manner

• Inspect and maintain all photography equipment, ensuring everything is in optimal working condition

• Outdoor work is an essential part of this role

Skills and Experience that will lead to success:

• Diploma or above in photography or related disciplines

• Experience in digital cameras, lighting setups, and studio equipment

• Good at portrait photography, photo retouching, and related software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom)

• Experience in videography will be considered a significant plus

• Comfortable with both studio and outdoor shooting environments

• Strong team player with the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and a dynamic work schedule

Work location will be at a studio located in Wong Chuk Hang.
