The Dean of Students Office is seeking civic-minded and committed individual for the role of Officer (Community Engagement). The appointees will work closely with faculty, student bodies, internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of student development programs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and implementing community engagement programs, managing partner relations, and handling program administration, including records, budgets, and reports.
  • Providing coaching and advising support to students in service and experiential projects to facilitate their learning and personal development.
  • Supporting program administration and team operations, including managing the program database and website, as well as creating visual content for promotional materials and social media to engage with students.
  • Performing any other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisors or senior management.

The role requires flexibility in working hours, including outside normal office hours, and occasional travel outside Hong Kong. The new appointees will join a stable, high-performing team dedicated to empowering students through volunteering and work experience within the local community. The department has a strong record of delivering successful civic engagement programs in partnership with NGOs and social enterprises. Applicants should have a bachelors degree with at least two years of post-qualification work experience. They should also possess volunteering experience, along with familiarity with and an understanding of local cultural dynamics. The ideal candidate should be proactive, self-motivated, a good team player with strong problem-solving and project management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, possessing a student-centric growth mindset. Fluency in English & Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) is required. Preference will be given to those who are passionate about community service and experienced in working with youth. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
