Assistant Manager, Public Affairs & Communications

Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation & Distribution: Plans, prepares, and distributes content such as newsletter, press releases, emails, and social media posts, and other updates to engage audiences and promote the organization.

  • Content Management: Develops and manages corporate content tailored for external stakeholders, including message house development, website content, and dedicated social media platforms for the manufacturing plant.

  • Asset Development & Documentation: Creates external-facing assets with proof points, profiles of senior management, manages SharePoint for document storage, and produces content highlighting key milestones for market communication.

  • Media Relations & Outreach Strategy: Designs and executes media relations work focused on brand communications, including media mapping and proactive outreach to journalists and media outlets.

  • Thought Leadership & Public Engagement: Develops and delivers thought leadership communication strategies via digital platforms to position the organization as an industry leader externally.

  • Communication Reporting: Provides regular updates and reports on the impact and reach of external communications and PR activities.

  • Event Hospitality: Manages event hospitality to enhance relationships and engagement with external partners and stakeholders.

  • Publicity Campaign Support: Supports the planning and implementation of external publicity campaigns to increase brand awareness and positive public perception.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Communications/Journalism/Public Relations or related discipline

  • 5+ years of work experience in public relations within a company or organization, demonstrating a strong understanding of PR principles and practices.

  • Outstanding writing and editing skills to produce clear, compelling, and accurate content.

  • Deep knowledge of traditional, digital, and social media channels, along with brand-related activities.

  • Good communication and organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders effectively.

  • Ability and maturity to collaborate with and influence decisions among diverse internal and external stakeholders.

  • Skilled in managing social media channels across diverse regions, with the capability to set up metrics and dashboards for activity measurement and KPI achievement.

  • Understanding of the current political & societal landscape, and emerging trends in the FMCG industry.

  • Proactive, organized, and capable of managing multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong time management skills and meticulous attention to detail with excellent follow-through on deliverables.

  • Less experience will be considered for the Senior Executive.
