Assistant Lecturer
Assistant Lecturer in the School of Clinical Medicine and the Bau Institute of Medical and Health Sciences Education (Ref.: 532376) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)
Applicants should hold a Masters degree, or preferably a doctoral degree, in Biomedical Sciences, Medical and Health Professions Education, Computer Science or a related discipline. They should have a good understanding of the practical application of technology in teaching and learning, particularly artificial intelligence (AI) in tertiary education, and possess relevant experience in digital educational project management. Some experience in teaching, faculty development, and exposure to design, implementation and evaluation of instructional initiatives would be advantages.
The appointee will contribute to the development and teaching of courses on the impact of AI in healthcare, as well as other related subjects in Biomedical and Health Sciences in our undergraduate programmes. He/She will also play a significant role in developing and implementing various pedagogical initiatives utilizing the state-of-the art educational technology on the Faculty level.
