Our client, a globally renowned leader in Debt Capital Markets, is currently recruiting a Director with significant leveraged finance experience.
Responsibilities:
- Deal Sourcing & Execution: Lead the origination, structuring, and execution of high-yield debt transactions (70% Hong Kong, 30% Southeast Asia), including due diligence, financial modeling, and credit assessment.
- Legal & Financial Oversight: Spearhead business, legal, and financial due diligence on issuers, major shareholders, and collateral; assist in structuring and negotiating legal documentation.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with internal teams (including a six-member HK banking team), Japanese partners (handling investor relations and fund administration), and external advisors (legal, valuation, etc.).
- Portfolio Management: Monitor ongoing performance, manage defaults, and oversee liquidation/litigation processes for distressed assets.
- Fund Administration: Ensure compliance with credit policies, collateral valuation, and drawdown procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in finance, Accounting, Legal or related disciplined
- Proven experience in debt structuring, credit analysis, or private credit within a regulated financial environment.
- Strong expertise in financial modeling, legal documentation, and cross-border transactions.
- Ability to collaborate with Japanese stakeholders (language skills a plus but not mandatory).
