The RoleWe are seeking a Deputy Chief Operating Officer (COO) to execute and deliver on the firm's operational, financial, and regulatory infrastructure.
This role is ideal for a qualified accountant, auditor, or fund operations professional who understands the rigor of regulated financial institutions and is ready to take on broader leadership responsibilities across multiple entities and jurisdictions. As Deputy COO, you will be the backbone of Gateway's governance and execution — ensuring smooth coordination between business, systems, governance and culture that will underpin a leading multi-asset investment platform.

Key Areas of Responsibility· General Operations: Lead day-to-day financial and operational processes, including payments, vendor management, and entity administration.
· Regulatory & Compliance: Oversee all SFC-related compliance, audits, AML/KYC processes, and policy governance across jurisdictions.
· Fund & SPC Administration: Supervise the setup, maintenance, and coordination of funds and special purpose vehicles, ensuring best-in-class governance.
· Transaction Execution: Support investment operations and settlements across funds, co-investments, and transactions, ensuring accuracy and control.
Ideal Candidate· Background in audit, accounting, or fund operations within financial services, fund administration, or a regulated asset manager.
· Strong grasp of corporate governance, financial reporting, and compliance frameworks.
· Excellent organizational and coordination skills, with a disciplined, structured approach to multi-entity oversight.
· High integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate operational needs before they arise.
· Comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment, capable of building processes as much as managing them.
· Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or HKICPA are strongly preferred.
