Accounting Manager

Our client is a leading international logistics service provider. They are currently seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and credit control for one of their subsidiaries. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting expertise, hands-on financial management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in China.

About the Role

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including GL, AP/AR, reconciliations, and month-end closing.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with IFRS/HKFRS.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Monitor accounts receivable, enforce credit policies, and resolve disputes in collaboration with sales and operations teams.
• Partner with China-based accounting and operations teams to align accounting practices and resolve discrepancies.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects as required.

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• HKICPA/ACCA or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in logistics/supply chain.
• Prior experience in financial reporting and managing China-based accounting teams is preferred.
• Knowledge of credit control and AR management is an advantage.
• Proficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Fluent in Mandarin, English, and Cantonese.
• Willing to travel frequently to major cities in China.
• Immediate availability is preferred.
