Purchasing Manager

Established in 1904, the Kowloon Cricket Club (KCC) is a private members club and is one of the leading sporting clubs in Hong Kong. We, promote participation in cricket and a wide variety of other sports, as well as encouraging social activities. We have a green environment in the heart of Kowloon. KCCs facilities are also open to outside bodies such as schools and voluntary organizations, and we have a particular emphasis on training and nurturing the youth in many different sports. Job Descriptions: Ensure daily purchases are completed and relevant quotes are obtained and updated in accordance with Club standards. Ensure purchasing and tendering procedures comply with Club policy. Closely monitor the performance of suppliers related to food safety. Work closely with F&B, Kitchen, Facilities, and Finance teams for effective cost control. Develop and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness; negotiate contracts and terms to optimize value and mitigate risks. Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking, ensuring seamless operations across departments such as F&B and Facilities. Collaborate with Finance team to develop procurement budgets, forecast needs, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. Promote sustainable procurement practices, ensuring suppliers meet environmental and ethical standards and comply with local regulations and industry best practices. Analyze purchasing data to identify trends, optimize procurement strategies, and provide regular reports to General Committee (GC), General Manager (GM) and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) on cost savings and supplier performance. Perform ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned by GC /GM / CAO. Job Requirements: 10 years relevant purchasing experience preferably in Hotel or Club industry Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related discipline Good command of written and spoken English and Cantonese Strong negotiation skills and experience in supplier management Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient in procurement software and tools as well as MS Office Immediate availability will be a definite advantage.
