The Division of Transdisciplinary Undergraduate Programmes (DTUP) is seeking a self-motivated candidate with excellent communication skills to assume the role of Programme Officer for the new sustainability education programme.

Responsibilities:

  • Organise and manage programme events, including coordinating with vendors, planning logistics, managing the budget, and arranging all details to ensure the success of each event;
  • Coordinate and communicate with various parties to facilitate programmes and events, including internal departments, secondary schools, community partners, etc.;
  • Promote events through formal communication channels and social media campaigns;
  • Prepare necessary documents, materials, and reports; and
  • Provide comprehensive support for the team and assist with any ad hoc tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

Applicants should possess: (i) a good bachelors degree with a minimum of three years of relevant work experience; (ii) maturity, the ability to work independently, self-motivation, and a detail-oriented and analytical mindset; (iii) proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese, including Cantonese and Putonghua; (iv) strong interpersonal and communication skills; (v) advanced proficiency in computer applications, including MS Word/Excel and Chinese Word; (vi) experience in environmental education, sustainability, and funding or campaign management would be an advantage; (vii) proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or Canva) and experience in both print and digital production would be a bonus.

Candidates with less experience may be considered for the Assistant Officer position. 

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in a written test. 

The initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of one year and three months. 

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
