Project Estimator (Civil)

You will be responsible for providing estimating assistance to the Estimating and Planning team for tender submission during pre-construction period. The duties may include cost estimation, collecting and analysing quotations to identify suitable sub-contractors and resources.

 Responsibilities:

• Plan and prepare analytical cost estimates for the preparation, finalisation and submission of tenders for civil engineering and major infrastructure projects;

• Quantity and BQ management liaising with internal and external parties to establish scope;

• Study tender documents and drawings and raise tender query if appropriate;

• Obtain quotations from suppliers and sub-contractors, holding meetings and identifying issues impacting their pricing assumptions;

• Undertake cost plans in coordination with Bid Managers teams construction methods and the tender programme.

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent;

• At least 8-10 years relevant experience, preferably with Civil project experience in a contractor environment;

• Knowledge in cost management / tender estimation is preferred;

• Good IT skills, with experience in using estimating software such as CANDY;

• Sound analytical and problem-solving skills with inquisitive mind;

• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese;

• Candidates with more experience will be considered as Senior Estimator.
