Job Posting: ABOUT YOUR ROLE: Work with Merchandise Supervisor and partner with Brands, Development Centers, Engineering Team, QA Team, Wash Team, RO to monitor product costing analysis and control, capacity plan (garment/washing), pre-production calendar that ensures quality, cost and timely delivery for North America business. The role has extensive focus on analytics and negotiation in order to get the lowest cost or manage order place to the best cost maker. The individual plays a key role in ensuring everyday job duties and fixing ad hoc issues independently. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE: Include but not limited to
  • Work with vendors across the globe to negotiate the best prices for the company through details cost analysis, fact-based methodology and extensive comparison.
  • Work with Engineer/ Vendor for cost saving options.
  • Ensure issue PO on time to meet customer delivery date.
  • Ensure all preproduction materials such as YY summary, sample, pattern, bulk standard etc. share to vendor on time to secure on time delivery.
  • Closely work with supervisor/ manager to dynamic manage vendor capacity plan and order allocation.
  • Maintain up-to-update cost templates for development centers initial costs submission. Provide best estimate/makers costs for new/ complicated styles for US designer/ Merchandiser/ Development centers.
  • Work with vendors/wash team/regional office/QA to ensure well planned order allocation are executed smoothly and in timely manner. Process orders promptly and accurately making certain the vendor fully understands and can comply with all details. Establish controls to ensure fabric, approval sample, e-pattern, bulk standard are obtained on time and meet all specifications.
  • Assist Supervisor for new resources research in terms of costing exercises, sampling and development in order to explore feasibility of using new vendors across the globe for better cost effectiveness.
  • Work closely with Development Center/ Vendors to provide support to in product development, ensure products developed are meeting customers quality and budget requirement. Provide alerts for potential issues and advice for product improvement. Responsible for the execution of development against the established calendar.
  • Responsible to pre-empt & alert problems to Supervisor and business counterpart promptly, work closely with supervisor/manager for solutions in timely manner.
  • To ensure all the Cost sheets/ Purchase Orders/ Liability records in the system are accurate and up to date.
WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU: Include but not limited to The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and /or abilities required for the individual to be successful in this position.
  • At least 6-8 years of experience in Apparel sourcing and supply chain organizations for US market.
  • Day to day Merchandising skills. Product knowledge for Tops, Bottoms, Woven, Knits, Belt and Variety of Washes.
  • Strong multi-tasking ability, detail- minded, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proven record of accomplishing result working in a multi-national environment
  • Strong negotiation and cost analysis skills.
  • Independent, team player and possesses ability to collaborate across distances and organizational lines.
  • Language Proficiency: English and local language fluency in both oral and writing.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Experience with SAP is preferable.
  • Strong PC Skills, such as Microsoft Excel (Pivot table & Vlook-up), Word and Outlook.
  • Immediate available is preferred.

  • Be collaborative and flexible with communicating and engaging with internal and external stakeholders (multiple nationalities) across difference time zones
  • Frequency of Travel: Occasional travel required to Development Centre in Shunde, China.
