IT Practice Lead - Development Practice

Leverage your expertise to lead IT Practices in the Revenue and Airline Planning Solution Centre, ensuring we deliver on our brand promise and drive organizational success together with our wide-reaching Revenue teams around the world.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and continuously improve the relevant IT Practice methodologies/frameworks, processes and toolsets
- Seek best practices/innovation from internal and external sources that could be beneficial to the organization; and propose how it could be adapted and implemented into the Cathay environment
- Monitor IT practices and collect feedback using different methods.
- Define and enable the execution of the IT Quality Management Framework for a specific practice, including performance of health checks; and obtaining, analysing and communicating lessons learned
- Coach and provide ongoing advisory and consulting to practitioners and teams per the IT Practice Engagement Model
- Lead and enable practice champions to promote practices and obtain feedback for continuous improvement
- Align and integrate the relevant practice methodologies/frameworks, processes and toolsets with other IT practices, with other Planning & Governance teams, and processes
- Support the IT practice content repository to ensure that content is accurate, relevant and up-to-date
- Manage internal practice communications channels and practice meetings
- Conduct training needs analysis to facilitate skill and capability, hence uplifting programs to address gaps and to uplift the soft and hard skills and business knowledge of IT colleagues
- Degree qualifications in Computer Science, Information Systems or related disciplines
- Possess minimum 6 years of experience as a practitioner in the relevant practice, and minimum 10 years of related IT experience
- Proven ability to effectively coach, consult with, and advise individuals and teams
- Demonstrates leadership skills, and can influence decision making
- Strong analysis and problem solving skills, with a focus on process improvement
- Ability to interact professionally with diverse groups of stakeholders, with strengths in relationship and stakeholder management
- Passionate and ability to motivate and inspire teams • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrates practical change management experience
- Keeps abreast across industry trends, findings and reports related application development practice
- Solid software development skill is highly beneficial
