Facility Manager

Job Responsibilities

•     To be responsible for operational activities for multi-discipline Facilities Management activities.

•     To lead the on-site team of direct and contracted out staff members.

•     To act as a single point of contact with clients on-site representative.

•     To review and establish operation policies and procedures according to company policies and employers instruction.

•     Review meeting with sub-contractors to enhance the quality and service level.

•     To prepare and monitor the annual operation budget to ensure that expenses are spent on time and maintained within budget.

•     To coach staff on customer focus and self-initiative mindset.

•     To closely communicate with clients and Facility Management team members and maintain positive interactions between colleagues internally as well as external customers.

•     To ensure SLA & KPI are delivered as stipulated in service contracts.

•     To look for opportunities to improve and streamline processes to deliver the most efficient and effective service to the client whilst seeking opportunities to reduce costs and make savings for both parties.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Have an aggregate of 10 years of experience in property management, with not less than 6 years full-time working experience at management or supervisory level in overseeing cleaning and/or security service contracts in the past 10-years ;

  • Be able to speak Cantonese, simple English and Putonghua to a degree of fluency for the satisfactory performance of his/her duties; 

  • Be able to read and write Chinese and English to a degree of proficiency for the satisfactory performance of his/her duties; and 

  • Have a post-secondary qualification in property management, building management, facilities management, human resources management or equivalent issued by a registered post-secondary institution, or having

    i) passed Part II of the Certificate in Housing Management of the University of Hong Kong; or

    ii) passed Part II of the Professional Diploma in Housing Management of the University of Hong Kong, or equivalent; or

    iii) obtained the Certificate in Housing Practice of the University of Hong Kong; or

    iv) obtained a bachelor degree (Honours) / post-graduate diploma/ master degree in Housing Management or Housing Studies from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent, as recognised by the Government Representative; or

    v) become a Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Housing, or equivalent; or

    vi) become a Registered Professional Housing Manager in the Housing Managers Registration Board.
