We are seeking a self-motivated and high caliber candidate to join the School of Science as Assistant Manager (IT). The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Schools IT infrastructure, including websites, web-based services, software and computer systems for administrative and research purposes. Key responsibilities include:

• Design and maintain the Schools existing IT systems and web-based services.
• Oversee and manage IT infrastructure in the School to ensure smooth operations.
• Plan and execute various IT infrastructure and application projects.
• Provide occasional support for setup of IT and AV equipment for meetings.

Candidates should hold a bachelors degree in computer science, computer engineering, information system, or related areas, with at least 3 years of relevant work experience in designing and supporting IT systems, network, databases and web development. The ideal candidate should have:

• Solid knowledge in both Linux and Windows operating systems;
• Good understanding of network infrastructures, network hardware, network security, protocols, and services;
• Experience in Linux and Windows server system administration and maintenance;
• Hands on experience in installing, maintaining, and developing applications on different platforms including LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP), Microsoft, Drupal;
• Familiar with .NET, C#, MSSQL, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and Mac OS applications; and
• Prior experience or knowledge in AV systems, JSON, SAML, Python, React, Node.js, Java and/or Oracle is a plus.

The ideal candidate should be a keen learner of new technologies, able to work both independently and in a team, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong organizational and time management skills. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview. (Duration: 2 years, renewable) Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of the contract.
