BACKGROUND: PPG is reviewing the mix of skills and experience of its Hong Kong-based regional treasury team for alignment with its existing and expected future needs. PPG is interested to hear from individuals early in their career who have the capacity to learn quickly, the motivation and dedication to succeed, and the behaviours needed to become a successful member of a small team. Among other candidates, we envisage individuals with two to three years experience in a corporate treasury or corporate banking environment may be well suited to the role, with any additional experience at a Big Four accounting firm looked upon favourably. ROLE: Reporting to the Asia Pacific Region Treasury Manager, we are looking for an individual who will, on a day-to-day basis, support the execution, management, and accounting of liquidity movements across the Asia and Pacific Region. The person will further be responsible for the administration and management of FX deal confirmation and settlement workflows, bank account administration (and attendant document flows), as well as the execution and maintenance of various guarantee instruments. ACCOUNTABILITIES: Execute and administer cash, debt, and intercompany loan transactions across the region to ensure all group affiliates have sufficient liquidity to meet their day-to-day operating needs. Prepare accounting entries and supporting documentation for cash, debt, and intercompany loan transactions and transfers across the region. Prepare supporting documentation and initiate cash transfers across the region from electronic banking platforms. Compile weekly cash and debt reporting for the region. Liaise with banking partners to manage and administer the issuance, extension, and surrender of various guarantee instruments. Administer and support FX deal confirmation and settlement workflows across the region. Manage and administer the opening and closing of bank accounts, bank signatory updates, and electronic banking token permissions across the region. Manage and administer information and document flows supporting Know Your Customer (KYC), Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), Anti Money Laundering (AML), Export Screening, and other banking-related regulatory regimes. Support ad hoc workflows assigned by the Asia Pacific Region Treasury Manager as required from time to time. REQUIREMENTS: The individual we are searching for will likely possess: a bachelors degree in accounting, economics or a finance related discipline. two to three years experience in a corporate treasury or corporate banking environment. a solid understanding of Treasury Accounting concepts. knowledge of document flows attending KYC, FATCA, AML, and other banking related regulatory regimes. English, Cantonese, and Mandarin language skills. MS Excel, Word, and Outlook skills.
