Product Manager - Pinpoint Asia

We are supporting our client - A Prominent Finance Firm, seeking a dynamic and driven Data Product Manager to lead the development, commercialization, and client engagement strategy for our Market Data offerings, including the flagship Market Data platform. This role is pivotal in shaping and selling our raw market data and curated data product catalogue to external clients across the financial ecosystem.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams—technology, sales, marketing, and operations—to ensure our data products meet client needs, regulatory standards, and strategic business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Ownership: Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of market data products, from ideation and development to launch and ongoing enhancement.
  • Client Engagement: Act as the primary liaison for external market clients, understanding their data needs and translating them into product features and solutions.
  • Commercial Strategy: Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for raw market data and data catalogue offerings, including pricing, packaging, and positioning.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with technology teams to deliver solutions using both waterfall and agile methodologies.
  • Analytics & Insights: Use data-driven insights to inform product decisions, track performance, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Documentation & Presentation: Prepare compelling presentations, product documentation, and client-facing materials using Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in product or project management, particularly in technology development and delivery.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data concepts into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience working with market data platforms or financial data products is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Background in financial services, capital markets, or data commercialization.
  • Experience with financial operational and technology risk management, data regulation, and compliance is a plus
  • Exposure to external client management, particularly in B2B data sales.
