We are currently looking for an experienced PARALEGAL / LEGAL EXECUTIVE (Probate) to bring his / her knowledge and expertise to the firm.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Providing specialized paralegal support to fee-earners in all aspects of non-contentious and contentious probate, estate administration, and trust matters.
Preparing, reviewing, and filing applications for Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration with the relevant Probate Registry.
Drafting key legal documents, including wills, deeds of variation, estate accounts, and detailed correspondence with executors, beneficiaries, and financial institutions.
Undertaking detailed legal research regarding intestacy rules, inheritance tax liabilities, and cross-jurisdictional estate requirements.
Assisting with the collection, valuation, and inventory of estate assets and liabilities, and managing the distribution process.
Performing translation work related to estate documents or client communication when necessary.
The Successful Applicant
Requirements:
University Degree, Diploma in Legal (Executive) Studies or equivalent is a definite advantage
At least 2 year of experience in Probate work
Strong command in English and Cantonese
Detail-minded and able to work in fast paced environment
Immediate availability is an added advantage
