Job Summary

The job holder provides quality and professional English editorial support to the management. The incumbent will support the management in executing the Club's corporate communications strategy in order to uphold and strengthen the Club's positioning as a world class racing and charity organisation, and to fulfil its purpose of “acting continuously for the betterment of the society” through its unique integrated business model. He/she will collaborate with multiple divisions/departments within the Club.

The Job

The incumbent is responsible for providing high-quality English communications content, such as executive speeches, speaking notes and presentations; and providing editorial services on written content for corporate communications materials, such as press releases, corporate collaterals and publications, media statements and digital content. By collaborating to prepare and improve communications content, the incumbent advances the Club's corporate strategies and objectives while ensuring editorial processes are robust, and narratives are holistic and integrated.

You will:

  • Prepare and edit English communications materials including the daily news summaries, media releases and statements, speeches, fact sheets, presentation materials, regular and ad hoc reports, features and other publicity materials in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist the Department to build and execute effective message strategies and essential corporate narratives for Club Stewards, CEO and management as well as for major charity and corporate projects and maintain the department's message and narratives bank.
  • Work closely with other speechwriters and the editorial team to manage the preparation of speeches and presentations for the Club management. Research, collect inputs from various parties, write and prepare speeches, talking points and strategic messages for the Club management.
  • Work closely with other team members on the Club's corporate publications such as the Annual Report, corporate collaterals, etc.
  • Maintain and establish effective working partnership with all stakeholders and facilitate effective cross functional collaboration.
  • Work with relevant parties and contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of the Club's English writing style guide and ensure consistency and professionalism in our content deliveries.
  • Undertake other duties and ad hoc projects as assigned by HoPA(CCC) or her delegate.

About You

You should have:

  • A bachelor's degree or above from a recognised university, preferably in English, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in corporate writing, PR or English editing, preferably with major corporations / organisations
  • Excellent writing and flawless editing skills to produce material for executives
  • Experience in managing external parties and multiple internal parties in a Corporate Communications/Editorial role, preferably with in-house experience
  • Excellent writing, editing skills over a wide spectrum of subject matters from corporate communications, business, sports, art and cultural, charity to horse racing and football.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship skills
  • Ability to work with senior management and business stakeholders
