Legal Counsel

Our client, a Leading Bank, is looking for high-caliber person to fill the position.

Job Duties

  • Responsible for PRC legal and compliance risk management function;
  • Draft, review and advise on a broad range of PRC law governed business and financial contracts and documents;
  • Provide professional PRC legal advice to management and internal units;
  • Handle and advise on disputes and litigation with PRC elements;
  • Liaise with external lawyers and affiliated companies;
  • Handle internal reporting work and review/update internal policies; 
  • Manage ad hoc matters as required by the management.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree or above in related disciplines;
  • 3-5 years in-house legal experience at sizable financial institution(s) with strong familiarity with PRC commercial law, banking regulations and compliance requirements is preferred;
  • PRC qualified lawyer preferably with both private practice and in-house experience;
  • Analytical, proactive and independent with excellent communication skills; 
  • Proficient in both spoken and written Chinese and English, fluency in Cantonese is an advantage.

Working location shall be subjected to the operational needs of our Client.
