Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance Manager - ESG reporting and Special Projects to join our finance team. This role will play a pivotal role in advancing our financial reporting, ESG initiatives and reporting, and special projects, ensuring alignment with our strategic goals and recent in development in the ESG regulatory requirements.
Job Summary
The Finance Manager - ESG reporting and Special Projects will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, preparing board papers, and leading finance-related ESG initiatives and special projects. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong financial acumen, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for sustainability and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting
Prepare and manage accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
Board Paper Preparation
Develop and present high-quality board papers and presentations on financial performance, ESG initiatives, and special projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and synthesize data for board-level decision-making.
Ensure alignment of board materials with organizational strategy and objectives.
Finance ESG Initiatives
Lead the integration of ESG considerations into financial planning, reporting, and decision-making processes.
Monitor and report on ESG-related metrics and KPIs (mainly related to finance and governance)
Stay updated on ESG trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance with all the ESG regulatory reporting requirements
Special Projects
Manage and execute finance-related special projects, including process improvements, system implementations, and strategic initiatives.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Provide financial analysis and support for ad hoc projects as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; CPA/CA or equivalent qualification preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial reporting, ESG, or a related field.
Proven experience in preparing board papers and presenting to senior stakeholders.
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) and ESG frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, CSRD).
Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and ERP systems.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial software.
Soft Skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly.
Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement.
