Understand and set direction to various procurement categories, particularly Office Products & Equipment and Contractor Services. Ensure supply availability, meet quality standards, and deliver best value to the companies
Formulate and manage strategic relationship with suppliers, monitor and perform periodic review to ensure suppliers' performance and quality
Ensure Tender/RFx with relevant bidder lists are properly issued, evaluated, shortlisted, negotiated, accepted and completed in accordance with the then-current purchasing policy and procedures
Work closely with internal stakeholders to achieve results, advising and influencing when necessary
Responsible for compliance of standing policy, procedures and certification requirements, and regularly review practices, policies, procedures, and systems in light of emerging best practices
Contribute to purchasing savings plans and provide insights on delivery of outcome within the Group
To succeed in this role
8 years of experience in Purchasing and Supply field with supervisory exposure
Solid procurement experience in either Office Products & Equipment and Contractor Services in sizable organization
Proven track record in purchasing management
Familiarity with Quality System Requirements including ISO
Knowledge on international trade control, sanction laws and regulations highly preferred
Proven negotiation, influencing skills and the ability to prioritize
Excellent people skills that enable team work and effective partnership with both internal & external stakeholders
Candidate with more experience might be considered for the post of Purchasing Manager
