We are now seeking exceptional scholars to join us as Assistant Professors/Associate Professors/Professors/Chair Professors (on substantiation-track) in all academic fields with special focuses on One Health, Digital Society, Smart City, Matter, Brain, and related interdisciplinary areas. Successful candidates should have a demonstrated ability to build a world‑class research programme related to CityUHK’s strategic research areas, plus a commitment to education and student mentorship. Candidates must possess a doctorate in their respective field by the time of appointment.
The Department of Data Science under the College of Computing at CityUHK is one of the 第一頁 in the world dedicated to leading the development of this new discipline. The Department welcomes applications and nominations for tenure/tenure track faculty 職位s of Chair Professor, Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in Data Science or related fields in mathematics, statistics, computer science, and engineering. Candidates of Associate Professors and above joining the Department may be considered for nomination of the Global STEM Professorship Scheme sponsored by the Government of the 香港 Special Administrative Region. Awardee will be offered a highly competitive package to establish his/her research program in 香港, including setup of 第一頁‑rate laboratories and recruitment of research support personnel.
Applications are sought in the broad research themes outlined above. Candidates of all experience levels are welcome. The appointment will be made at a rank commensurate with the qualifications and experience. The posts are substantiation‑track 職位s.

DutiesThe appointees are expected to make significant contribution to teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels; advise postgraduate research students; play an active role in curriculum development and management; maintain an active research profile; actively seek external grants and contracts to support research endeavours; provide service to the Department, College and University governance; contribute to professional engagement, networking, and outreach activities that enhance the academic and professional life of the Department.
RequirementsA PhD in Data Science/Statistics/Computer Science/Engineering or related disciplines, with a strong research record and promising teaching ability.
Salary and Conditions of ServiceRemuneration package will be driven by market competitiveness and individual performance. Excellent fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes, and re地點 assistance (where applicable). Initial appointment will be made on a fixed‑term contract.
