VP of Technology - PropTech, Real Estate

Our client is who is seeking a forward-thinking VP or Technology to lead their efforts in leveraging new technologies and the Internet of Things (IoT) to transform the property and real estate landscape. This role will focus on identifying, developing, and implementing innovative solutions that enhance property management, improve user experience, and drive operational efficiency for both Hong Kong and China market.

About the role

Reporting to the Department Head, you will develop and execute a technology innovation strategy that aligns with the companys vision and growth objectives in the proptech space, ensuring that all initiatives support their long-term goals. You will drive the integration of IoT technologies into all their properties and business, focusing on smart building solutions that enhance energy efficiency, security, and tenant satisfaction, thereby transforming the way they manage their assets. As a team leader and liaising with cross border counterparts, you will explore and implement AI-driven solutions, such as predictive analytics for property maintenance, tenant engagement chatbots, and data-driven decision-making tools, to improve operational efficiency and tenant experiences. In terms of R&D, you will stay ahead of industry trends by researching emerging technologies, particularly in AI and IoT, and assessing their potential impact on the real estate sector, to foster a culture of innovation and ensure seamless implementation of new technologies across the organization. Lastly, you will utilize data analytics and AI tools to measure the effectiveness of implemented technologies and drive continuous improvement, enabling data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.

The successful applicants

• Bachelors degree in Technology, Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
• Proven experience in a leadership role within the proptech or real estate technology sectors
• Strong understanding of IoT technologies and their application in smart buildings and property management
• Passion in construction technology such as robotics, AI, big data
• Excellent project management skills with a track record of successfully implementing technology solutions
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Experience with IT Transformation within a sizeable firm and understanding how different system integrates
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
• Good command in Chinese and English
