Employee Relations Specialist

Belcan Workforce Solutions are seeking an Employee Relations Specialist for a 4-6-month contract to join our clients HR team in Filton.

The client is offering up to £27.00 per hour Umbrella (PAYE option is also available), the role is Inside of IR35. This is a hybrid working opportunity with a minimum 3 days required on-site per week.

Overview:Our client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join their HR team. This is a business-facing role supporting multiple UK sites, where youll provide expert guidance on a wide range of employee and industrial relations matters. Youll play a key role in promoting a fair, consistent, and positive employee experience across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise HR Business Partners and managers on employee relations issues including disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence, and flexible working.
  • Manage industrial relations topics, liaising with employee representatives and interpreting collective agreements.
  • Conduct impartial investigations and produce detailed reports with recommendations.
  • Identify and coordinate training needs related to employee and industrial relations.
  • Contribute to the development and review of HR policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with HR teams including Recruitment and Learning & Development to deliver integrated HR solutions.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee relations records.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and foster a positive workplace culture.

What Youll Bring:

  • Proven experience in an Employee Relations or similar HR advisory role, ideally within a large multinational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and industrial relations frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build credibility.
  • Strong investigative and problem-solving abilities with a balanced, objective approach.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across HR functions and contribute to broader initiatives.

Given the roles nature, the selected candidate will undergo BPSS clearance before commencing.
