System Analyst

(This is a fixed-term contract position of 2-year with possibility for renewal subject to organisational needs and individual performance.)

The System Analyst is responsible for designing integration interfaces, supporting the configuration and maintenance of various business applications, and investigating system issues. This role will work closely with the vendors and infrastructure team to ensure systems and applications run smoothly and comply with IT policies and standards.

Responsibilities:

• Engage in system design, development, testing, and change management activities to ensure smooth implementation and user adoption;

• Perform troubleshooting for technical issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions to resolve them;

• Liaise with external service providers to ensure applications and operations comply with IT policies and standards;

• Supervise service providers in reviewing the architecture and system design in accordance with cybersecurity and governance requirements;

• Participate in cross-team development to ensure interfaces and system integrations meet standards;

• Work with the infrastructure team to ensure systems and applications run within the expected environment setup;

• Facilitate communication and collaboration between business users, IT teams, and vendors to ensure successful project delivery;

• Conduct a thorough analysis of business and system flows to identify improvement opportunities with proper documentation; and

• Provide training and routine support on systems and processes to end users.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field;

• Proven experience as a System Analyst or in a similar role;

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on programming experience, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in Net/Java/NodeJS;

• Must have at least 3 years of hands-on Azure/AWS/Google cloud computing platform experience with a proven certification;

• Must have at least 3 years of hands-on system integration experiences;

• Dedicated experience in any two of the following systems: Ticketing system, POS, System integration, and payment gateway;

• Experience with DevOps practices;

• Familiar with SQL database management systems such as MSSQL/MySQL/Oracle;

• Familiar with NoSQL database management systems such as MongoDB/Redis;

• Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall);

• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and data protection regulations, such as encryption algorithms in on-premises and cloud environments;

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications;

• Proven team player with a mature and positive attitude; and

• Proficient in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
