Senior Director, Data & Media Services

Overview:

Reporting to Chief Commercial Officer, this role will lead a sales team to oversee and drive the sales activities of AsiaSats data and media services to our premium customers in Asia Pacific and/or assigned regions. This role requires strong and solid skills in sales, negotiation and account management and in-depth knowledge of sales process/cycle in order to achieve the Company targets and revenue growth.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth, profitability and market presence in Asia Pacific and/or assigned regions

• Actively engage in analyzing the market and industry trends, customer segmentation and competitor activities to determine target customers/new business opportunities and allow the Company to have distinct advantages over competitions

• Fully accountable for revenue of data and media services sales so as to ensure the sustainability of its business stream

• Oversee the budget and ensure the sales objectives are achieved with the allocated financial resources

• Facilitate the team to build and maintain strong customer relationships by addressing customer needs and concerns so as to enhance customer experience and drive retention

• Work closely with all other departments/subsidiaries to leverage the total capabilities of the Company in creating a winning go-to-market strategy

• Keep management updated on pitching progress and sales funnel of the team in timely manner

• Perform ad-hoc projects as per management teams request

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree required; emphasis on business or engineering preferred

• In-depth knowledge in the telecom and satellite industry with minimum 15 years experience working in a sales role and customer management

• Demonstrated experience with complex bid/proposal management

• Ability to provide sector-focused advice on the sale process from strategic positioning to close, help execute acquisitions, alliances and mergers, and analyze the ROI of an opportunity

• A strong team player, ability to motivate and inspire a team to meet and exceed customer expectations

• Ability to operate within a high pressure environment under tight deadlines

• Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
