Manager (Non-Local Work-Integrated Education (WIE))

Duties 

The appointee will be required to: 

(a) formulate and implement outreach strategies and plans to enhance the global presence; 

(b) supervise and lead staff in various non-local projects and programmes, including the coordination of non-local internship arrangements; 

(c) outreach and maintain ongoing relationships with non-local partners and leading employers for internship opportunities; 

(d) conduct research and benchmarking with best practices to enhance existing services; 

(e) coordinate with faculties/units on projects to enrich students non-local WIE learning experience;

(f) identify appropriate partners to expand the scope of existing services;

(g) travel to overseas countries or the Chinese mainland to maintain connections with leading organisations;

(h) assist the Associate Director on reporting progress, data analysis, implementation of special projects or initiatives, or any other tasks as assigned; and

(i) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Global Engagement or his/her delegates.

The appointee may be required to work beyond or outside normal office hours and travel outside Hong Kong as necessary.

Qualifications 

Applicants should have: 

(a) a recognised degree; 

(b) at least seven years of post-qualification experience in related areas of work, preferably in developing student programmes and services; 

(c) a proven track record of leadership with evidence of excellent customer service, demonstrated creativity, flexibility and professionalism; and 

(d) an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test. 

Conditions of Service 

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
