Lead Consultant (IT Infrastructure - Engineering Team)

Job Description:

• The job holder will require to oversee the implementation and support of critical IT systems within an airport environment. This includes managing multimedia systems, IoT sensors, digital signage, and emerging technologies such as video analytics and robotics. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting large-scale system deployments and ensuring seamless operation across various platforms.

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• At least 8 years of IT working experience, with a minimum of 2 years in requirement analysis, project planning, system implementation, and support within the project development life cycle.

• Robust technical expertise in system administration, middleware solutions, and enterprise architecture, with a focus on designing and implementing resilient, scalable infrastructure.

• Strong proficiency in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting various IT systems, including application servers, middleware platforms, and network components, with an emphasis on high availability and disaster recovery.

• Self-motivated, responsible, with strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure.

• Passionate in developing a career in the aviation industry.

• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.

• Candidates with less experience will be consider for a senior consultant role.

At least 3 of the following Technical Skills:

• 2+ years experience with VMware ESX virtualization.

• 2+ years experience with Microsoft Windows Server Failover Clustering.

• 2+ years experience with SQL Server clustering and File Share Witness (FSW) for SQL Server Basic Availability Groups.

• 2+ years experience in Linux/Windows system administration with scripting skills.

• 1+ year experience with EDB or PostgreSQL database administration and troubleshooting.

Additional Advantages:

• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and container management.

• Experience with Tomcat middleware administration and troubleshooting.

• Skills in IBM hardware and storage system troubleshooting.

Job Duties

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and resilient IT infrastructure, including servers, middleware, and network components, to support organizational operations.

• Manage and optimize enterprise middleware solutions, ensuring high performance, security, and availability.

• Develop and enforce standards, policies, and procedures for system configuration, deployment, and maintenance.

• Lead architecture planning, including capacity planning, disaster recovery strategies, and integration of new technologies.

• Provide technical support for incident resolution, system patch update and version upgrade, performance tuning.

• Provide timely support for system incidents and conduct root cause analyses for sustainable resolution.

• Engage in regular project meetings to review incidents, change requests, and system enhancements, recommending improvements.

• Occasional support outside regular hours during emergencies or scheduled maintenance.
