Head of QA (circa 1m)
Job Summary:
The Head of QA will lead a dedicated team to enhance overall quality standards by fostering strategic partnerships both internally and externally. This role is pivotal in managing and elevating quality performance through continuous improvement initiatives. The Head of QA will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Sourcing, Sales & Merchandising, and Product Development, to establish and implement quality-driven strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute quality strategies to instill a strong quality culture, driving improvements in processes, products, and systems through training and best practices.
Design, implement, and manage comprehensive quality standards with well-defined processes.
Act as the primary liaison for customer quality requirements, addressing complaints proactively and ensuring internal teams meet and exceed client expectations.
Evaluate and enhance existing quality systems and protocols to ensure sustainability and efficiency.
Lead the creation and distribution of a periodic Quality Update Newsletter to communicate key insights and improvements.
Provide guidance and support to factory QA teams in resolving immediate issues and refining quality protocols.
Track and analyze quality KPIs and scorecards, utilizing Statistical Process Control (SPC) for risk assessment and performance monitoring.
Drive continuous improvement by analyzing quality performance, implementing corrective actions, conducting root cause analysis, and developing case studies.
Spearhead Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) initiatives to strengthen manufacturing systems and process quality.
Undertake special projects as directed by senior management.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Textile Engineering, Garment Technology, Testing Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in a leadership role within garment manufacturing or a related industry.
In-depth knowledge of textile production, garment testing, and quality management systems.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders effectively.
Proactive, detail-oriented, analytical, and solution-driven with a patient and collaborative approach.
Familiarity with industry regulations, quality/testing standards, and safety compliance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and reporting.
Fluency in English and Chinese (written and spoken).
