We are looking for a talent to:
Provide the Head of Madera Hospitality Management (hotel and service apartment) & respective division heads with timely and accurate financial information as tools for maximizing profits and planning for the future. Reports which should stimulate management action
Prepare and interpret the financial statements and reports of business units. Provide constructive feedback on cost saving measures
Compile, together with the other executives, budgets and forecasts covering all activities of business unites
Ensure that the established controls and procedures in respect to the finance areas of responsibility are being complied with at all times
Ensure that there are, at all times, proper procedures and controls for the guest cashiers and other cashiers in the business unites, notwithstanding the fact that these areas are not the direct responsibility of the finance department
Monitor and control the accounts payable process and ensure meet all payment deadlines
Prepare Monthly Inventory report to Financial Controller & Head of Madera Hospitality Management (General Manager of Hotel) and respective division heads
Maintain proper and complete accounting records of business units. Ensure that the accounts, records and transactions are accurate and correct all the times
Implement all necessary controls to safeguard the assets of the business unites. Maintain fixed asset register and inventory transfer records of all fixed assets and inventory
Notify promptly the respective division heads and Head of MHM in events of skippers, bad debts, returned cheques or accounts of in-house guests who have for exceeded our normal event problems
Ensure physical inventories of all supplies are being taken on a monthly basis and of all operating equipment on a quarterly basis
Liaise with internal and external auditors in compliance with the companys requirements
Assist Financial Controller of HSH Group and General Manager of Hotel with specific tasks as requested
Responsible for managing all properties licenses
Prepare & posting daily/monthly Journal Vouchers
Prepare the monthly A/R Aging report and any other management reports required for month-end or year-end closing. Proactively follow up with outstanding A/R
Prepare monthly Credit meeting & P&L meeting at the end of month
Prepare annual budget and post into system
Basic requirements:
Bachelors Degree holder or above in Accounting/Finance or related disciplines
At least 5 years experience in Finance and Accounting / Finance Management
Experience in the Hotel Industry is a must
Experience in Oracle is preferred
Excellent analytical skills
A collaborative team player and able to communicate & work well with all levels within the organization
Able to work independently and work under pressure
