Brief Job Overview:

As a career coach at ESF, you will work closely with students who require a high level of support for their learning and have diverse educational needs. You will help these students develop the skills and competencies needed to prepare them for the workplace. This may include accompanying students to work placements to observe and provide feedback, developing and implementing strategies to build students independent work skills and designing and implementing vocational programs focused on relevant skills and knowledge. This is a unique opportunity which allows you to display your ability to coach and mentor students towards becoming responsible global citizens and develop vocational skills.

General Requirements

Holder of University Degree or equivalent academic qualifications

Experience working with secondary-aged students who require a high level of support and assistance

Experience in the field of education, special education, social work, community service or educational outreach

Strong proficiency in spoken and written English; competency in Cantonese would be beneficial

Responsibilities

• Design and provide vocational training to equip students with job-related skills and knowledge
• Support students with identifying their strengths, interests and career goals
• Accompany students to work placement to assist, monitor and coach
• Regularly assess and record students progress
• Provide feedback and develop action plans toward self-improvement
• Coordinate with work placement providers to ensure a safe and inclusive working environment
