Director of Structuring

Job Responsibilities:

• Optimize overseas trading resources, connect with overseas trading counterparties, negotiate and sign OTC agreements and prime brokerage agreements and related legal documents
• Support the transactions of the APAC equity derivatives business, both from a document negotiation and regulatory standpoint
• Liaise and coordinate external parties and internal departments for the preparation of cross-border derivatives transaction terms, facilitate closing of derivatives transactions
• Connect with internal control departments, including risk management, legal compliance, finance, etc., to improve and optimize business processes
• Conduct research on overseas market targets and investment strategies, and participate in overseas business innovation
• Advise business on regulations around the globe affecting the transactions & structures and on how to structure these to mitigate legal and regulatory risks
• Other duties as shall from time to time be directed by supervisors

Job Requirements:

• Master or above in Finance, Mathematics, Sciences, Engineering, Laws or related disciplines
• With a minimum of 6 years of working experience in EQD Structuring or EQD lawyer, familiar with the domestic and overseas OTC derivatives structure and related regulatory provisions
• A highly motivated individual with the willingness and aptitude to learn new areas of the law and to take on new types of tasks
• Solid knowledge of finance and derivatives
• Effective negotiation skills or the desire to develop such skills
• Team player with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
