Data Centre Specialist - Team Lead

Our client, an ICT Solution provider for Information & Communication industries spanning in Consultation services, Design provisioning, Installation services, Maintenance and Support services in Structure Cabling & Products Solutions, is now looking for an experienced candidate to join them.

Responsibilities: 

• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for scheduled and ad hoc activities

• Perform equipment installation, cables installation, equipment decommissions and housekeeping of the data centre

• Incident handling, problem troubleshooting and escalation to seniors and management

• Maintain accurate inventory records and prepare reports

• Exhibit quality workmanship on all work

• Company will provide training workshops and on-the-job training to all new joiner

• Monitor the data centre environment such as air conditioning and humidity levels, fire protection equipment

• Monitor system to identify any system malfunctions and initiate corrective action to maintain schedules and to ensure integrity of production and outputs

• Responsible for the basic operation of the computer systems and associated peripherals

• Manage media include hard discs, SSDs and tapes

Requirements: 

• 3-5 years management work experience in Date Centre

• Good at English communication

• Technical Institute graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline

• Experienced in Data Centre and Structured Cabling is a plus

• Discipline, self-initiative, self-motivate

• Shift duty based on roster cover 24/7 data centre operation
