We are actively hiring a Compliance Officer for a foreign asset management firm (SFC 1,4,9). You will be responsible for partnering with the legal teams to oversee the compliance function for the company.

Your new role

  • Oversee compliance functions for the Hong Kong branch of a fast-growing asset management firm.
  • Serve as MIC of Compliance.
  • Support the launch and ongoing management of Hong Kong-domiciled funds.
  • Act as a liaison between internal teams (Investment, Product, Risk, Finance, Compliance) and external partners (Custodian, Administrator) for fund portfolio monitoring.
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with the latest statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and review compliance matters related to both operations and investments.
  • Maintain and update AML/compliance frameworks, policies, guidelines, and procedures in alignment with internal and external regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with compliance consultants on SFC licencing, continuous professional training, and other compliance processes.
  • Conduct KYC assessments, client background checks, and ongoing transactional AML reviews.
  • Organise and facilitate compliance and AML training sessions.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and accountants as needed.
  • Provide support on ad-hoc quality control and compliance projects.

What youll need to succeed

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Require 3-5+ years of experience in compliance. Welcome candidates from compliance consulting/asset management/other financial institutions with relevant experience.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, including regulators and auditors.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English is essential.
