DATA-INFORMED QUALITY ENHANCEMENT

The Centre is now looking for a competent and devoted team member who can assist in the effective collection, analysis, and reporting of a large set of data related to learning and teaching.

Assistant Project Officer (25260022) 

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting literature research;
  • Writing of reports, documents, and publications related to research conducted by the project team;
  • Drafting appropriate research methods;
  • Planning, conducting, and coordinating data collection on various scales and from various sources;
  • Organising, analysing, and presenting both quantitative and qualitative data; and
  • Undertaking related administrative duties and other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • A bachelors degree in a relevant discipline, preferably in Social Sciences, Education, Psychology, Statistics, and Data Science, etc., with at least one year of relevant post-qualification work experience;
  • Proven track record of handling large datasets, quantitative data collection, and analysis;
  • Good team player with good communication and problem-solving skills, attentiveness to details, and proactiveness in work;
  • Knowledge and experience with qualitative data collection and analysis;
  • Openness to explore and learn new data collection and analysis approaches;
  • A good command of English and Chinese; and
  • Proficiency with MS Word and Excel, competence in using software packages for statistical analysis and qualitative analysis, such as SPSS, NVivo, and JASP.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test. 

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of one to two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
