Assistant Marketing and Public Relations Officer (Ref. 250605001-IE)
Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) plan, coordinate and implement marketing, communication and promotional activities such as departmental events, functions, seminars, exhibitions and information days;
(b) liaise and coordinate with internal and external parties on event management;
(c) develop promotional materials for departmental events and academic programmes;
(d) assist in managing the departmental website and various social media platforms;
(e) provide administrative support in marketing, student recruitment and alumni relations; and
(f) perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Department or his/her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a recognised degree preferably in any subject in the humanities, language studies, communication, public relations or related discipline;
(b) have at least three years of post-qualification experience in marketing, public relations and/or administrative support and at least one year of experience working in tertiary institutions;
(c) have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua required;
(d) be familiar with social media platforms both in Hong Kong and Mainland China, including Instagram, Facebook, WeChat, Xiaohongshu, Weibo, etc.
(e) have experience in using and handling projects in which visual design was involved;
(f) have good interpersonal and communication skills;
(g) have the ability to work independently within a team and be a good team player;
(h) be highly motivated, be able to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure; and
(i) have sound knowledge of computer applications.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test. Preference will be given to applicants with a background in visual design training and experience, although it is not mandatory.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
