A&R Administrative Assistant (1-year contract)
Job Summary
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented A&R Administrative Assistant to support the A&R team at Sony Music Publishing HK. This role plays a key part in the day-to-day operations of both the creative and administrative processes — from handling licensing and invoicing, preparing DSP metadata, and registering songs, to conducting A&R research and assisting with pitching demos to clients. You will also help coordinate songwriting sessions and camps. The ideal candidate is passionate about music, reliable with admin work, and eager to grow within the music publishing industry.
Key Responsibilities
Licensing & InvoicingAssist in processing licensing requests; issue and track invoices related to song usage.
DSP Metadata ManagementHandle metadata preparation for distribution to DSPs (e.g., Spotify, Apple Music).
A&R Research & Roster SupportResearch new songwriters and music trends to support A&R scouting; track song performance, charts, and streaming data.
Song RegistrationInput song splits, writer information, and codes (ISRC/ISWC) accurately into the copyright teams system.
Song PitchingPitch songwriter demos to clients including artists, labels, and producers.
Admin & Creative Team SupportAssist in organizing songwriting camps, creative sessions, and related events.
Requirements
Bachelors degree or above, fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Good English (both written and oral), communication skills and a proactive working attitude.
Passion for music and interest in the music publishing or A&R field.
Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets is preferred.
Basic understanding of music rights, licensing, or digital distribution is a plus.
