Analytics Engineer

Job description:

• Collaborate with IT to design and build a secure and scalable data platform.

• Develop data pipelines for business reporting and data needs.

• Create data models for analytics and predictive modeling.

• Build regression models to predict key business outcomes, e.g. budget projections, cost overruns, contractor performance and claims likelihood.

• Adhere to and implement company data governance policies for data accuracy, security and compliance.

• Create visualisations to share insights.

• Explore new technologies for enhanced analytics.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in relevant fields like Computer Science, Data Science, or Engineering preferred.

• Min. 3 years of professional/hands-on experience in data engineering or analytics (e.g. building pipelines, creating visualizations).

• Strong skills in regression modeling using Power BI (e.g., visuals, Python/R scripts), Python, or R.

• Experience with data extraction, cleansing, and transformation (ETL/ELT processes).

• Proficiency in analytics and visualization tools, particularly Power BI.

• Passion for problem-solving and attention to detail.

• Eagerness to learn new technologies and propose innovative solutions.

• Curiosity about machine learning/AI is a plus.

• Personal projects showcasing regression modeling are a plus.
