3D Manager Role Overview

We are seeking a 3D manager need to develop and deliver training to upskill 3D production teams for client-focused projects (e.g., product design, e-commerce). Ensure staff master core 3D competencies, meet strict SLAs, and deliver commercial-ready work.  

 Key Responsibilities

1. SLA-Driven Training Design

  - Analyze team skill gaps impacting project SLAs (e.g., timeline required, quality issues).

  - Build curricula for client workflows: rapid iteration, asset delivery, feedback integration.  

  - Optimize training to reduce SLA risks (e.g., missed milestones, rework, timeline suggestion).  

2. 3D Capability Building

  - Train teams on universal 3D principles (modeling, rendering, simulation).  

  - Develop skills for commercial outputs: product visuals, technical assets.  

  - Embed SLA discipline: revision management, timeline adherence.  

3. Client-Project Readiness

  - Align training with client requirements (file standards, delivery protocols (accurate timing to deliver)).  

- Prepare teams for high-priority projects

- Coach on commercial constraints: time/resource limits, client feedback integration. 

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 5-7 years hands-on experience in commercial 3D modeling, rendering, and simulation (product/packaging design, e-commerce visualization preferred).

  • Proficient in universal 3D principles and industry-standard software (e.g., Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, KeyShot, V-Ray, Substance).

  • Expertise in file standards (OBJ, FBX, GLB) and delivery protocols.

  • Proven experience in designing and delivering technical training, especially for 3D workflows.

  • Ability to conduct skill gap analyses and build targeted curricula.

  • Track record of optimizing workflows to reduce SLA risks (timelines, rework) and managing revisions.

  • Proven practical experience and a strong portfolio demonstrating expert-level 3D skills are essential. Relevant professional certifications are a plus.

Training will be given to help you understand all of JPGs systems, procedures and processes. 

Our Hong Kong office is located in Kwun Tong with 3 mins walk to the MTR and close to APM mall.
