The Urban Renewal Authority (“URA”) is tasked to undertake, encourage, promote and facilitate urban renewal of Hong Kong in accordance with the provisions of the Urban Renewal Authority Ordinance and the Urban Renewal Strategy published by the Government. The URA adopts a comprehensive and holistic approach by ways of its two core businesses i.e. redevelopment and rehabilitation, as well as preservation, revitalisation and retrofitting, for creating a sustainable and quality living environment for the people of Hong Kong. Responsibilities:

• Formulate the URAs community development and stakeholder engagement strategy to foster support from stakeholders and public understanding of the URAs efforts in urban renewal
• Establish a close working relationship with stakeholders including members of the Legislative Council and District Councils, community leaders, professional bodies, NGOs, local interest groups and opinion leaders, in order to facilitate a smooth implementation of URA projects and to protect the image of the URA through effective communication
• Collaborate with internal functions to plan and implement programmes and activities for local community to facilitate engagement of stakeholders for URA projects
• Assist in market studies, political analysis and developing solutions to overcome problems and diffuse risks in URA projects
• Lead the Community Development Department to engage relevant stakeholders for the implementation of the Urban Renewal Project Rescue Fund, and ensure smooth operations of the Urban Renewal Resource Centre

Requirements:

• Degree holder in related discipline
• Minimum 15 years experience in community and stakeholder engagement or related areas, of which at least 8 years at a senior management level
• Proven strong community network and be able to deal with a diverse range of stakeholders
• Strong management, leadership and team building skills
• Strong analytical skills to identify and prioritise the relevant stakeholders, understand their perspectives and interests, and evaluate the impacts and outcomes of actions
• Good interpersonal and communication skills with an excellent command of English and Chinese
• Crisis management skills and experience
