Senior Financial Controller - Group Treasury

South China Group is a local Hong Kong conglomerate group, carrying on different businesses, including trading and manufacturing of toys, trading of footwear, property investment and development, agriculture and forestry, and provision of a wide range of financial services including broking, corporate advisory and underwriting, asset and wealth management etc. We are urgently looking for a high caliber candidate to join the Treasury team of the Group.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee cash and liquidity management, ensuring optimal cashflow across all entities within the group;

• Advise senior management on the groups liquidity position, treasury-related risks, and strategic financing options;

• Develop and execute new financing and refinancing plans, including bank loan facility limit reviews and securing new loans;

• Build and maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions, negotiating favorable terms for both new and existing loan arrangements; assist on the request from Banks on the approval process of new loans, refinancing and periodic review of existing loans

• Review of loan documents and assist on the execution arrangement with various internal departments

• Evaluate and manage PRC loan portfolios, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maximizing funding efficiency;

• Monitor cash flow and bank balance position, prepare and analyze cash flow forecasts and perform financial modelling to support key business decisions;

• Monitor bank loan facility limit and usage;

• Lead daily treasury operations, including intercompany funding arrangements, cash deployment strategies across the group and managing surplus cash investments;

• Approve payment requisitions of various business units;

• Ensure financial covenant compliance of various loans with respective Banks;

• Monitor the groups capital structure, foreign exchange exposures, bank and interest rate risks, proposing proactive hedging or restructuring solutions;

• Support investment evaluations by providing relevant financial and treasury analysis on potential projects;

• Develop financial and treasury policies and monitor the compliance of such policies, identifying areas to mitigate financial and treasury risk and exposure.

Requirements

• Degree holder in Accounting & qualified accountant under ACCA / HKICPA;

• Minimum of 10 years experience in Finance and Treasury with at least 5 years in Managerial / Controller role in listed company;

• Solid Corporate Treasury experience in listed company;

• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, and the ability to exercise sound judgement and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses;

• Good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work under pressure;

• High level of integrity with a strong sense of urgency;

• Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese, including Mandarin;

• Self-motivated and high degree of initiative.
