• Host daily stand-up meetings and weekly backlog refinement sessions.
• Act as the main facilitator across the project, ensuring all meetings are scheduled, structured, and productive.
• Remove Blockers:
• Identify and resolve impediments by coordinating with the right stakeholders and arranging problem-solving meetings.
• Support Agile practices, ensuring the team follows Scrum principles to deliver value efficiently.

Top 3 Mandatory Requirements

• Language Skills:
• Excellent communication (spoken and written) in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English.
• Experience:
• Minimum 5+ years total experience, including at least 1 year of current/recent hands‑on experience as a Scrum Master.
• Note: Hiring Manager is not looking for Project Managers or Business Analysts transitioning into a Scrum Master role.
• Technical Tools:
• Strong experience using JIRA.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience in the insurance or financial services industry.
• PSM I / CSM certification.
• Experience with Confluence.

Role Summary

The Scrum Master guides and supports Agile teams in applying Scrum practices and principles to deliver high‑quality results. The role involves coaching teams, removing impediments, and facilitating collaboration to ensure smooth sprint delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives).
• Support adherence to Agile and Scrum principles.
• Manage traditional project aspects such as scope, communication, and risk management when required.
• Collaborate with users, management, and vendors to assess system requirements.
• Assist Product Owners with user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog prioritization.
• Ensure quality standards and delivery timelines are met.
• Mitigate risks and manage dependencies effectively.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Sound understanding of Agile methodologies, JIRA, and Scrum frameworks.
• Knowledge of business and project management principles.

Education & Certification

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (required).
• MBA or advanced degree (preferred).
• Scrum Master Certification (PSM I or CSM) – Required.
