About the roleWere hiring a Prompt AI Engineer to help build LLM-powered features for our SaaS platform. Youll work closely with senior engineers and product managers to prototype and ship prompt-driven solutions—RAG Q&A, summarization, drafting, classification, and workflow assistants—while learning best practices for evaluation, safety, and cost optimization in an enterprise SaaS context.

What youll do

  • Assist in designing, testing, and refining pRrompts, prompt chains, and simple agents for real product use cases.

  • Help build retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines: document ingestion, chunking, embeddings, retrieval, and context construction.

  • Implement basic guardrails and safety under guidance.

  • Monitor quality, latency, and cost; experiment with model settings, caching, and smaller models to improve efficiency.

  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and Backend teams; translate requirements into well-scoped tasks.

  • Maintain prompt/version registries, experiment logs, and documentation for reproducibility and audits.

Minimum qualifications

  • 0-2 years in software engineering, physics, maths

  • Proficient in Python and comfortable with Git/GitHub and basic CI.

  • Familiarity with LLM tooling and prompt engineering concepts.

  • Basic SQL skills; ability to prepare datasets and evaluate outputs with scripts/notebooks.

  • Exposure to vector databases and embeddings is a plus.

  • Experience building small APIs or scripts (FastAPI/Flask) and using Docker locally.

  • Strong curiosity, attention to detail, and communication; willingness to learn and incorporate feedback.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on RAG prototype or coursework; understanding of chunking, retrieval, reranking, and citation.

  • Experience with evaluation tooling (PromptLayer, TruLens, Humanloop, MLflow/W&B) or simple LLM-as-judge setups.

  • Knowledge of guardrail frameworks (Guardrails, NeMo Guardrails) and red-teaming basics.

  • Frontend integration exposure (streaming responses, feedback widgets) for AI UX.

  • Domain familiarity in our SaaS space, including data formats and common user workflows.

  • Awareness of SaaS compliance/security (SOC 2, GDPR/CCPA), rate limiting, and usage metering
