The Landscaping Manager / Assistant Landscaping Manager is responsible for supporting the Landscape Department ensuring the delivery of high-quality, sustainable, and visually appealing landscapes across the property.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Department Head in creating and executing comprehensive landscape design plans to enhance both aesthetics and functionality.
Provide arboricultural/horticultural expertise and guidance on landscape management and related works.
Support senior management with documentation, reports, and development proposals.
Manage HR matters, develop staff potential, and address frontline team needs.
Oversee landscape maintenance to ensure consistent quality and upkeep.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to source materials and services for landscaping projects.
Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and standard operating procedures.
Implement and enforce safety protocols and environmental standards to maintain a safe and sustainable environment.
Collaborate with other departments to meet operational and stakeholder requirements.
Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand landscaping needs and exceed expectations.
Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Provide support for ad hoc departmental activities and requests.
Requirements
Higher Diploma or above in Landscape Design, Horticulture, Arboriculture, or related fields.
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in landscaping and project management, including at least 4 years in supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of landscape design, horticulture, plant species, irrigation systems, and sustainable landscaping practices.
Familiarity with local flora and fauna in 香港 is an advantage.
Proven leadership and team management skills to oversee a diverse landscaping team.
Excellent communication skills for interaction with clients, contractors, departments, and team members.
Ability to present landscaping designs and proposals effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges, adapt to changing conditions, and ensure successful project delivery.
Relevant certifications such as Certified Arborist is an advantage.
Proficiency in English and Cantonese.
Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays.
