Overview

The Landscaping Manager / Assistant Landscaping Manager is responsible for supporting the Landscape Department ensuring the delivery of high-quality, sustainable, and visually appealing landscapes across the property.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Department Head in creating and executing comprehensive landscape design plans to enhance both aesthetics and functionality.
• Provide arboricultural/horticultural expertise and guidance on landscape management and related works.
• Support senior management with documentation, reports, and development proposals.
• Manage HR matters, develop staff potential, and address frontline team needs.
• Oversee landscape maintenance to ensure consistent quality and upkeep.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to source materials and services for landscaping projects.
• Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and standard operating procedures.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and environmental standards to maintain a safe and sustainable environment.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet operational and stakeholder requirements.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand landscaping needs and exceed expectations.
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
• Provide support for ad hoc departmental activities and requests.

Requirements

• Higher Diploma or above in Landscape Design, Horticulture, Arboriculture, or related fields.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in landscaping and project management, including at least 4 years in supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of landscape design, horticulture, plant species, irrigation systems, and sustainable landscaping practices.
• Familiarity with local flora and fauna in 香港 is an advantage.
• Proven leadership and team management skills to oversee a diverse landscaping team.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with clients, contractors, departments, and team members.
• Ability to present landscaping designs and proposals effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges, adapt to changing conditions, and ensure successful project delivery.
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Arborist is an advantage.
• Proficiency in English and Cantonese.
• Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays.
