Department/ Hospital: Catering Department, United Christian HospitalPay: HK$23,725 to HK$30,244 (HGPS point 7 -11) per month including Monthly AllowanceUp to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.
Key Responsibilities:Mainly deployed on assisting Catering Manager / Hospital Chef:1. To oversee the daily patient food service operation.2. To supervise frontline staff, cooks and contractor staff.3. To follow up the routine maintenance of facilities and equipment.4. To conduct OSH & safety assessments and provide on-the-job training to staff when necessary.5. To manage various stock controls of department.6. To carry out Integrated Management System audit (i.e., food safety (ISO 22000), occupational health and safety (ISO 45001) and environmental management (ISO 14001)).7. To monitor daily cleansing duties such as equipment cleaning / general housekeeping etc.8. To perform operational and administrative work within Catering Department.9. To perform computer operations. (e.g. Dietetics and Catering Management System, ERP)10. To liaise and communicate routine operation with wards / other departments / suppliers.11. To perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Entry Requirements:1. (a) 3 years' satisfactory service in the HA; OR(b) 2 years' supervisory experience in hospitals, hotels, cleansing service, facilities management or other related services/ industries.2. Have shown the potential to lead and supervise staff.
Preferable Attributes:1. Possessed Chef Apprenticeship or Certificate in Hotel, Catering and Institutional Operations or equivalent2. Ability to read and write Chinese and English, and speak fluent Cantonese.3. Good interpersonal and communication skills with pleasant personality.4. Basic computer skill in MS Office such as Words, Excel, Outlook.5. Experience in HA systems including DCMS, ERP, CMMS, EAM, SRS.6. Holder of Steam Receivers License Class VI.7. Knowledge in Integrated Management Systems (IMS) (ISO 22000, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001).8. Work experience in milk kitchen.
