THE CHINESE MEDICINE HOSPITAL OF HONG KONG
The Chinese Medicine Hospital of Hong Kong (CMHHK) is a flagship Chinese medicine (CM) institution leading the development of CM including Chinese medicines (CMs) in Hong Kong. The CMHHK adopts a public-private partnership model. The HKSAR Government has financed the construction and selected the Hong Kong Baptist University as the contractor to incorporate the HKBU Chinese Medicine Hospital Company Limited as the operator to manage, operate and maintain the CMHHK.
The CMHHK is targeted to commence hospital services by phases at the end of 2025. The CMHHK aims to offer comprehensive CM care, ranging from primary, secondary to tertiary services, and promote advanced and specialised CM services. The CMHHK will pioneer integrated Chinese-western medicine (ICWM) services to cater to different patient needs. Inpatient, day-patient, and outpatient treatments and also community services will be offered by the CMHHK. Both Government-subsidised services and add-on market-oriented services will be provided to ensure accessibility and to meet the diverse healthcare needs of the community.
With a view to prioritising education, training, innovation and research, including collaboration with local and overseas universities to advance evidence-based clinical research and develop CM theories and clinical applications, the CMHHK is now looking for the following talent to join our team.
The CMHHK planning comes to commission stage II (Jan 2024 - Dec 2025). During this stage, the CM Division in CMHHK starts to plan the CM pharmacys details for the clinical services, training and research in the CMHHK. The CM Division requires the following position in commission stage II to support the CM pharmacy operation protocols planning; to facilitate establishment of smart CM pharmacy; to develop the new drug application; and to facilitate the development of herb-drug interaction monitoring system.

Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support for the Education and Training Department of the Hospital;
- Coordinate the administrative work of the training programmes in the Hospital, including but not limited to undergraduate Chinese medicine (CM) internship, postgraduate CM and Integrated Chinese-Western medicine (ICWM) training, in-house staff training and other training programmes open to CM industry and other healthcare professionals;
- Oversee the acquisition, cataloguing, preservation, and digitisation of library and archival materials related to Chinese medicine, ensuring both physical and digital resources are accessible and well-managed;
- Provide research and reference support to hospital staff, clinicians, researchers, and public, responding to specialized information inquiries and facilitating access to relevant resources;
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for collection management, access, and preservation, in alignment with relevant standards and hospital requirements;
- Assist in managing and monitoring the quality of training programmes in the Hospital;
- Provide administrative support to continuing medical education, continuing nursing education and continuing professional development courses; and
- Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).
Requirements:
- Hold a bachelors degree, major in Library Science, Information Management, Chinese Medicine is an advantage;
- Minimum three years of relevant work experience;
- Experience in hospital / health care industry is preferred;
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;
- Proficient in MS Office applications;
- Good interpersonal skills, attentive to details and a strong sense of responsibility; and
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and under pressure.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract by Hong Kong Baptist University. Following the commencement of CMHHK, and subject to the candidates satisfactory performance and the decision of CMHHK, subsequent appointment will be offered directly by CMHHK.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.
Work location: Kowloon Tong Campus and will be moved to The Chinese Medicine Hospital of Hong Kong in Tseung Kwan O when close to commissioning.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
