Description

As an ETF Portfolio Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

• Oversee the daily management of ETF portfolios, ensuring accurate trade execution, timely rebalancing, and adherence to the investment prospectus.
• Manage creation and redemption processes to support fund liquidity and operational efficiency.
• Handle corporate actions to ensure ETF holdings are accurately updated.
• Conduct pre-trade analysis to develop effective execution strategies, and perform post-trade reviews to assess outcomes and identify areas for improvement in efficiency and tracking accuracy.
• Prepare and maintain the Portfolio Composition File (PCF) and produce regular reports for stakeholders and regulatory purposes.
• Monitor market trends, trading activity, and liquidity indicators to guide portfolio decisions.
• Enhance portfolio management systems, workflows, and tools to improve precision and operational effectiveness.
• Contribute to the development of ETF strategies and products, and support new product launches and business growth initiatives.
• Collaborate with authorized participants, market makers, and brokers to ensure smooth operations in both primary and secondary ETF markets.

Profile

A successful ETF Portfolio Manager should have:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in ETF and public fund portfolio management.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Programming skills (e.g., VBA) are advantageous; experience with FactSet, Enfusion, Bloomberg, and portfolio management platforms is highly valued.
• Familiarity with index methodologies and derivatives (e.g., futures, options) is preferred.
• Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin is a plus.
• Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, or equivalent are preferred.
