Exciting long term opportunity for Engineering Managers with experience in TBM tunneling design and delivery, looking for a job in 香港. Our client, one of the major 香港 contractors, is busy bidding, winning and delivering major infrastructure projects andlooking to appoint an experiencedEngineering Manager to join the team.

The Engineering Manager is a key 職位 in the contractors Senior Management team for the project, responsible for the overall design, engineering and risk.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • The project is design and build and the Engineering Manager will take the lead to ensure efficiencies in design with respect to construction methods.
  • Safety in design is also a key consideration. Require experience in tunnel projects with TBM.
  • Reports direct to Project Director with functional reports to the construction team.
  • Direct Reports will include:

- Permanent works Design managers (Design carried out by consultants)
-Temporary works Coordinator (Temp works design carried out by consultants/in house)
- Instrumentation and monitoring engineering
- Geotechnical design manager (Design carried out by consultants)
- Planning manager
- QA/QC manager
- Risk Manager
- BIM manager
- Coordination manager
- Chief Surveyor

  • Manage team of design coordinators who will manage design consultants in the delivery of permanent and temporary works designs for the project.Forecasting and management of consultants costs.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory BD and GEO comments.Responsible for relationship management with client.
  • Ensure robust process are in place and being monitored for control of design and implementation. This will include the management of permanent works design information, temporary work design and checking on site, Instrumentation and Monitoring and contingency measures for exceedance of allowable movements.
  • Active participation with construction team understanding construction sequences and methods as well as jointly developing design schemes to ensure construction activities are not held back due to design issues and approvals are in place prior to commencement.
  • Managing the programming, Quality and project coordination functions.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • 20 years+ of comprehensive working experience in a construction 公司名稱.
  • Strategic thinking and performance driven. Good leadership and communication skills. Competent in decision making and developing others. Has experience in change management.
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Member of Professional Association or Chartershipis an advantage
